Robo Cast Polyester made of the ideal structure of Polyester knit tape has excellent multi-directional stretch length, cross and diagonal-way even without extensible yarns; makes it easier to wrap and shape the contour of human body esp. Bony prominence such as joints, elbow, ankle, heel, without tucking or folding, to limit ridges that can cause pressure point.
Robo Cast Polyester is moisture resistant and highly permeable to water vapor, reducing build-up of moisture in the cast that can affect the skin.
So it dries easily; prevents bad odours, skin contagions or other complications caused by insufficient dry of moisture inside the cast.
Robo Cast Polyester made of 100% Polyester substrate produces significantly less dust than fibreglass products during removal with conventional cast saw, which eliminates concerns about irritation and inhalation of fibreglass dust.
This should be a comfort to clinicians who are concerned about the potential hazards in related to exposure to fibreglass dust in the workplace.
